Homebuilder's newsletter 11/15/09 - 11/21/09

Change in plans! Due to the church's using Sunday Dec 6th as Teacher Appreciation, we will have our Food Sunday Nov 29th. During that time we will sign cards for our college students. Bring Food! The following Sunday (12/6) we will not have class. We will meet in Founders' Hall and sit together for the Teacher Appreciation. Jenn will be decorating our tables - she could use some help so see her in class.

We have scheduled our Christmas party for Saturday, December 19th at Jo Rice's house. Thanks to Jo for volunteering her house! More details to follow.

As in past years, we have 4 college students we provide care and encouragement for. We will be providing 3 with exam goodie boxes, and one with a gift card. Please start gathering treats for the boxes and bring them in any Sunday until Dec 6th. On the 29th we will stuff the boxes during Food Sunday, write cards to each student (thanks Jo for the cards) and Paula will take care of mailing the boxes.

Say an extra prayer please

Please say an extra prayer tonight for Rita Montgomery. She is the loving wife of one of my co-workers Bob Montgomery. Although always a careful driver and always wearing her seat belt, yesterday she slammed into a light pole at 60 mph unrestrained. They are guessing she suffering a stroke or heart attack to cause this. Her injuries are severe and the outcome is far from certain at this point.

Thanks,
Stan
