update

Stan's dad is expected to pass sometime today, so the kids and I are heading out about 4AM tomorrow to drive to NY. Please pray for travel mercies, it's about a 14 hour drive (not including breaks) which is a long time for me to be at the wheel. Keep Stan and his family in your prayers too, this has been rough on them. We'll see you all when we get back, sometime next week.

update

Stan's father is dying. They've taken him off everything but a small oxygen mask, and he's resting comfortably and is expected to pass sometime in the next few days. Please keep Stan and his family in your prayers, and ask for travel mercies, as the kids and I will leave as soon as we get the call that he's passed and drive to NY. We don't know when that will be, I'll keep you all posted.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Yes, it's time for a NEW IRON CHEF!!
The Homebuilder’s Iron Chef Episode 2 will be held in Anderson Hall on Saturday November 8th. The secret ingredient is PASTA. We will be looking for volunteers provide desserts in addition to their award-winning pasta dish.
Please let Jason Hill know if you can bring a dessert, and if you plan on attending! If you'd rather leave a comment on the blog, I'll forward them to Jason too.
See you all there!

Prayer Request - Stan's father

Please keep Stan's parents in your prayers, his father was taken by ambulance today to the hospital unable to breathe. He is sedated on a respirator while they check to see if he had a stroke. He had been fighting a respiratory infection, so there may be pneumonia also. His mother is understandably shaken.
Thank you all.
