JAN. 30th - is a "Fifth Sunday" with a Church-wide breakfast between first and second service, so no Sunday School
FEB 5th - The Homebuilders Chili Cook-Off (Janet Arnold has details)

· Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Feb. 5th at 6 PM. Children welcome. Prizes will be awarded for chili in the following categories: Hottest, Best Overall and Most Original
· Bring items for the church's pantry on Sunday, February 6th when we have our regular "Food Sunday"

Prayers & Praises, 1/2 to 1/8
PRAYERS
· Jenn's mother - both arms are broken
· Julie's job
· Chris A's aunt Margaret
· Jim's sister - missionary trip to Haiti
· Health at the Arnold home
PRAISES

· Merry Christmas (and a white one, at that)
BUSINESS MEETING
· Next social: Chili cook-off, Feb. 5th at 6 PM at the church. This will be a family event
· For the extra money that we were planning to donate, $500 will be dedicated, $250 going to the Pastor's discretionary fund and $250 going to stock the pantry.
· It was decided that our class will bring supplies for the pantry on each "Food Sunday", and each one will have a different theme or need. For our "Food Sunday" in February, we'll bring toiletries.
